Gold Aviation’s Director of Maintenance, Jeff Evans, Honored with Prestigious Charles E Taylor Master Mechanic Award

Gold Aviation proudly announces that Jeff Evans, the esteemed Director of Maintenance, has been awarded the prestigious Charles E Taylor Master Mechanic Award by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in recognition of his outstanding 50+ years of dedicated service to aviation maintenance.

 

The FAA conducted a special ceremony to honor Mr. Evans. This esteemed accolade is a testament to Jeff Evans’ unparalleled commitment to excellence and his significant contributions to the field of aviation.

 

 

The Charles E Taylor Master Mechanic Award is named after the first aviation mechanic in powered flight, Charles E Taylor, who served as the Wright brothers’ mechanic. This distinguished award is presented to individuals who have exhibited professionalism and skill in aviation maintenance for over 50 years.

 

 

Jeff Evans brings a wealth of experience to Gold Aviation, with a career spanning 50+ years in aviation maintenance. His extensive background includes more than 35 years as a Director of Maintenance and Chief Inspector, and over 15 years as a Chief Technician. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Evans has consistently demonstrated a record of success in meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals in corporate jet aircraft maintenance, covering both domestic and international operations.

 

Jeff’s expertise extends to a variety of aircraft models, including Learjet, Citation, Gulfstream, Hawker, Falcon, King Air, Embraer, and various engine types such as PW, AE3007C, and TFE731. He has hands-on experience with depot level maintenance and has managed operations involving On-Demand Line Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repair, and Inspection of various corporate and transport category jet aircraft.

 

 

As the Director of Maintenance at Gold Aviation, Mr. Evans has played a pivotal role in managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance, inspection, scheduling, and record keeping. His responsibilities include overseeing a team of maintenance personnel, directing daily maintenance activities, training and mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Jeff’s leadership has been instrumental in maintaining the highest standards in aviation at Gold Aviation.
