Of course, along with this prestigious fashion event comes exclusive clubs and parties and trendy eateries and venues, all packed full of writers, models, editors, photographers, and designers. The Raleigh Hotel will be flowing with champagne, stylish show-goers, industry gossip, and designer tents, all centered around the hotel’s stunning art-deco pool, which Life Magazine named the “most beautiful pool in America” in 1947. While most events are by invite-only, there are a few open to the public. Last year, Sagamore Hotel offered free makeup by Bobbi Brown and hosted a pool party that provided snow cones. SLS South Beach featured a showcase of young designers known as the Peroni Emerging Designer Series. While, the hip hostel Freehand Miami has a pool and bar open to the public and have been known to host parties during Swim Week. The Taste History Culinary Tour of Historic Palm Beach County

For those feeling a more low-key adventure, the Taste History Culinary Tour, hosted by the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History (MLFH), is the perfect activity for die-hard epicures and is also an enjoyable way to experience a new city. The tour sets off on Saturday, July 19th, traveling to Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, and Lake Wroth and Lantana. The four-hour, food-centric excursion combines a narrated bus and walking tour and brings together a mix of summertime culture, cuisines, art, and history of main streets and historic districts. Along the tour you’ll visit local eateries, markets, and an urban farm, along with historic buildings, art galleries, and cultural centers.

Wine Country Safari Benefit in Boca Raton

To satisfy your philanthropic side while also socializing with the area’s most prestigious business leaders and community, the Twin Palms Center for the Disabled and the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce will host Wine Country Safari on Saturday, August 30th at 7pm at the Boca Raton Museum of Art at Mizner Park. Reserved attendees will be indulge in hors d’oeuvres from Mississippi Sweets BBQ Company and sip wines from Total Wine & More, while also being serenaded by Just Us Orchestra. Fundraising activities include raffle baskets from local businesses and a silent auction. Participants are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing in “Tommy Bahama Casual” with a Safari flair. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Boca Raton Society for the Disabled, Inc. d/b/a Twin Palms Center for the Disabled.
